Our L.A. Vacation

This is our second year here in SoCal (that's what us locals call Southern California) and our confidence is high enough now to take a vacation in the L.A. area. So what better place to go than Disneyland in Anaheim. We booked the Castle Inn across the street from Disney so we could walk to the park.
The drive from our RV Resort to the hotel was under 1.5 hours. All those freeways do move traffic, if everything's going OK and today it was. We checked in, had lunch and decided to take a walk to orient ourselves. Just down the road, we saw this hotel. It wasn't that cold but its quite striking with snow and icicles. That wall behind it is the back of the mountain in Carland at Disney; looks totally different from the other side.
We found the entrance to Disney but it must have been closed today. Maybe we'll try another spot tomorrow.
Right behind our hotel is this lovely outdoor mall walk. There are all kinds of restaurants and high end stores along the walk. It was nearly deserted, I don't know how they stay open although it is the off season right now.
It was turning dark as we finally headed back to our room. A quick glance at this picture makes you think of Egypt doesn't it? Just a hotel but it caught my eye.
The rooms weren't anything special but they were clean and located perfectly for Disney.
We had a bit of free time over the week and walked around the area. This waterfall was in Disney Downtown which you can get into without tickets so we checked it out.
There is a Lego store there. Check out the Hulk, and the green guy behind him. All made from Lego pieces (just the green guy).
It may be just a short walk from our hotel but us old folk still need a rest. Next, we'll head into to the park. Why don't you join us.
